"The City Of Tomorrow" is a traveling research exhibition about Soviet modernist architecture. The exhibition design is inspired from Soviet modernist art and architecture. The exhibition becomes together with spatial instruments, narrative devices and graphic interventions. Its layered structure in a various ways, allows displaying the layered content in a very rich visual language.
The exhibition considers the life and afterlife of the Soviet city, an urban system that was planned and built as a model for an altogether new society – and thus also dwells on the social and ideological fabric that once wove the Soviet empire together. Architecture and urbanism have been among its most effective agents: engendering a sense of societal unity across the USSR and later acting as agents of its dissolution.

“The City of Tomorrow” explores this landscape and its expansive reshaping at the hands of an architectural culture that sought to build a fundamentally different idea of society than the neoliberal order Soviet successor states face today.
